What it is like
Playa de los Guirres, also called El Volcán, lies beside cultivated land and maintains an unconventional relationship between productive landscape and coastline. It is a beach 400 metres long, very narrow, with a width of barely 8 metres, made up of dark sand and gravel. The surroundings are protected and accompanied by a promenade, while the surf is usually moderate. Signposted access by car has between 50 and 100 parking spaces, and the beach also has a dog-friendly area, showers and food and drink establishments.
