What it is like
Canteira Marracoi occupies the space between Cariño beach and the port of A Graña, on the site of a former abandoned quarry. It is an isolated beach 50 metres long and 15 metres wide, with golden sand, rock and gravel, vegetation, calm waters and usually low occupancy. The history of the place and its small scale create a very specific identity. It is accessible on foot only at low tide and pedestrian access is difficult; the intercity bus is 1 km away.
