What it is like
Playa de los Molinos lies west of Cabo Busto and retains an isolated, rugged character, with dark sand and rounded stones at the foot of a cliff. Its 200 metres in length and 20 metres in width form a narrow strip with low occupancy and strong waves, within the Paisaje Protegido de la Costa Occidental and a Special Protection Area for Birds (ZEPA) / Site of Community Importance (SCI). Its name comes from the structures that used the water of the Ricante stream, which reaches the sea via the beach. Access on foot is difficult from the N-634.
