What it is like
Playa de Lagarto, also called Bco. Simón, is a small, isolated cove in north-western Gáldar, opening onto a mountainous setting. The beach is formed by rounded stones, measures 65 metres long and 20 metres wide, and has windy conditions and strong waves. The description highlights its transparent waters and expressly links them with diving. Access is via a dirt track and on foot, with the GC-2 and the interurban bus on the Gáldar line as references.
