What it is like
Playa de Juncal, also known as Playa del Puertito, is an isolated small cove whose shape combines a spur at the entrance, the end of a ravine at the back and a wall that projects back out towards the open sea. The rounded-stone shore is 130 metres long and 25 metres wide, and is notable for its calm, clear waters. Access requires a 0.750-kilometre walk; the listing advises using a 4x4 vehicle if arriving by car. There is also an interurban bus on the Agaete 103 line.
