Playa de Fontenla is an isolated white-sand beach near Foxos, barely 100 metres long and 20 metres wide. Its semi-urban frontage retains vegetation and belongs to an area protected as Ramsar, part of the Natura 2000 Network, Site of Community Importance (SCI) and ZEPA; the usual conditions combine strong swell and wind. It is easily reached on foot from the CC-500, with interurban transport 0.5 kilometres away. The listing records litter bins, a cleaning service and a connection with Club Náutico Portonovo.
