Beach at a glance
What it is like
Playa A Lapa is a rustic beach at the end of A Lanzada, formed by fine sand in a 250-metre-long and 40-metre-wide semi-urban beach. Its surroundings are included in the Natura 2000 Network, a Site of Community Importance (SCI) and a Special Protection Area for Birds (ZEPA), with vegetation and anchorage. The usual conditions are those of an open beach and visitor numbers are moderate. It is easily reached on foot or by car via the CC-500, with parking for between 50 and 100 vehicles and an interurban bus 0.2 kilometres away. Adapted toilets, assisted bathing, showers, catering and nautical equipment hire provide practical facilities.
