What it is like
Playa del Barco is a small, isolated beach with difficult access, measuring 200 metres long and 20 metres wide. Its surface combines rounded stones and gravel, beneath a vegetated cliff and within a Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA) and a Site of Community Importance (SCI). Visitor numbers are low and the surf moderate. It is reached on foot from the N-634, although the listing records no beach facilities. The reference port indicated is Navia.
