What it is like
Playa del Ancón, also called Santana, is an isolated beach of dark sand situated at the foot of a cliff. Its 200-metre length and 20-metre width form a narrow strip, with vegetation and protection under Natural Habitats of Community Interest and Paisaje Protegido. Strong waves make the usual bathing conditions unfavourable, while occupancy is medium and the beach is nudist. Access on foot is difficult from the TF-176; the listing records interurban buses and surveillance during the summer season.
