What it is like
Playa de Xuncos, also known as Cabalar, is a small isolated beach of rocks, sand and boulders situated before a cliff frontage. Its 75 metres in length and 10 metres in width have low occupancy and moderate waves; the source warns that sand appears occasionally and that the width varies between 5 and 25 metres. The seafront promenade, vegetation and the SAC and Biosphere Reserve setting complete the landscape. It is easily accessed on foot via the Coastal Road, with fewer than 50 parking spaces. There are showers, foot-washing facilities, litter bins and cleaning.
