What it is like
Playa de Roque de las Bodegas is enclosed between high cliffs within a Biosphere Reserve, a configuration that dominates its landscape and relationship with the sea. The beach measures 380 metres long and 45 metres wide, with dark sand, rock and gravel, and has a semi-urban character despite being surrounded by a protected setting. Strong waves make bathing conditions difficult. It is reached by car via the TF-134, with fewer than 50 spaces, and has a promenade, restaurants and first aid.
