What it is like
Playa de Pozo de la Avispa is an isolated cove 45 metres long and 15 metres wide, set in the protected mountainous surroundings of Cabo Tiñoso. Its shore combines golden sand and gravel, with vegetation and moderately wavy waters. Access on foot is difficult and follows the GR 92 trail, although it can also be reached by boat; the reference road is the Cartagena-Isla Plana-Mazarrón route, E-22. Las Baterías de Cabo Tiñoso are visible 3–4 kilometres away, and the site is identified as suitable for scuba diving.
