Playa La Tejita occupies a kilometre of dark sand beside the striking Montaña Roja, within a Protected Natural Site. Its 1,000-metre length and 33-metre width form an isolated mountain beach, with vegetation and several environmental protection designations. Usual conditions combine moderate swell and wind, and one area permits nudism. It is easily reached on foot, with parking for more than 100 vehicles and interurban transport. There are toilets, litter bins, a cleaning service and sunbed and parasol hire.
