Playa Medano (El)-Leocadio Machado is located in El Médano, within the municipality of Granadilla de Abona, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It is a semi-urban beach of dark sand, 420 metres long and 150 metres wide. Its surroundings lie beside the urban centre of El Médano and it is accessible by car via the TF-64 road. The municipal listing identifies it as an official bathing area and includes parking, hire of sun loungers, parasols and nautical equipment, as well as lifeguarding during the summer season.
