Beach at a glance
What it is like
Playa El Cabezo is located some distance from the centre of El Médano, at the beginning of a residential summer area. It is an urban beach of dark sand, 240 metres long and 80 metres wide, integrated into a protected environment of natural habitats of Community interest. Windsurfing and kitesurfing championships are held there, a feature directly associated with the place. It is reached by car via the TF-64, with parking for between 50 and 100 vehicles. There is nautical equipment hire, a surfing area and a cleaning service.
