Beach at a glance
What it is like
Playa Rodiles lies beside the Villaviciosa estuary as an enormous formation of golden sand measuring 1,100 metres long and 295 metres wide. The semi-urban beach is integrated into the Partial Natural Reserve of the Villaviciosa Estuary, with ZEPA and Site of Community Importance (SCI) protection, a promenade and pine and eucalyptus vegetation. It has strong waves and is usually windy. Access is on foot or by car via the N-632 and VV-6; there are more than 100 parking spaces, showers and catering services.
