What it is like
Playa del Astillero, or Playa de Lastres, is the beach of the fishing village of Lastres and forms part of an interesting semi-urban landscape protected as a Site of Community Importance (SCI). Its shore combines sand, rounded stones and golden gravel over 300 metres, with a width of 27 metres. Access is by car via the AS-257, with parking for fewer than 50 vehicles and a bus connection. For practical purposes, it has toilets, showers, litter bins, cleaning and a tourist office.
