Playa Patos is a large beach 1,700 metres long and 80 metres wide, extending along the Ensenada de Carreira. Its white sand is mixed with rocks on an urban frontage accompanied by a promenade and vegetation, with moderate waves and wind. The beach has several names depending on the section: Prado or As Canas to the north, known for surfing, and Abra to the south. It is easily reached on foot, with more than 100 parking spaces, food services, nautical equipment hire, a sports area and anchorage.
