What it is like

Characteristics published by official sources

Playa La Griega is an extensive golden-sand beach formed beside the mouth of the Libardón River. Measuring 820 metres long and 82 metres wide, it opens onto semi-urban surroundings with vegetation and Site of Community Importance (SCI) protection, exposed to strong swell. Its most distinctive feature is the fossilised dinosaur footprints; a campsite is also located about 200 metres away. It is reached by car via the AS-257 and has more than 100 parking spaces, showers and adapted toilets.
