Playa Guadalmar forms part of the area known as San Julián beach and lies near the mouth of the Guadalhorce river. Its 400-metre length and 20-metre width form a semi-urban dark-sand beach, with a frontage combining an urban area and dunes, as well as vegetation and anchorage. The usual waves are moderate. It is accessed by car via the CN-340, with more than 100 parking spaces; the beach offers showers, foot-washing points, food, hire of sun loungers and parasols, a sports area and a children's playground.
