What it is like
Playa Gran, whose official name is Platja Gran, is a long dark-sand beach near the centre of Fornells and situated in the bay of the same name. Its 1,700 metres of length and 20 metres of width form part of a semi-urban setting, with moderate waves and the possibility of anchorage. It is easily reached on foot or by car via the Me15 and Me-7 roads, with parking for fewer than 50 vehicles. It also offers cleaning and nautical hire.
