What it is like
Playa Genoveses is an isolated golden-sand beach reaching 1,180 metres in length and an average width of 50 metres, surrounded by vegetation and accompanied by a dune complex. It forms part of the Parque Natural Marítimo-Terrestre de Cabo de Gata-Níjar, also declared a Biosphere Reserve, and has calm waters, high occupancy and anchorage areas. The listing also indicates the possibility of scuba diving in some part of the beach. It is easily reached on foot or by car from the AL-3108, with more than 100 parking spaces and an interurban bus.
