What it is like
Playa Ferrara is a very extensive urban beach in Torrox Costa, measuring 1,300 metres in length and 30 metres in width, formed by dark sand and accompanied by a seafront promenade. At its eastern end it joins Playa Chica, a small cove of very coarse material, and then the mouth of the Torrox River, known as Playa del Sillón. This succession of stretches gives Ferrara a recognisable coastal configuration. Access is by car from the N-340, with more than 100 parking spaces and an urban bus service; it also has catering, sports and boating services.
