What it is like
Playa de Varadero, also called La Almadraba, forms part of the coastline north of the city of La Vila, beside the beaches of Tío Roig and Estudiantes. It is a small semi-urban stretch, 130 metres long and 30 metres wide, made up of gravel, with a promenade, vegetation and a protected natural breakwater. It has moderate waves and medium occupancy. It can be reached by car or on foot, with fewer than 50 parking spaces, and has toilets, catering and foot showers.
