What it is like

Characteristics published by official sources

Playa de Saturrarán lies between the Mijoa stream and Punta de Saturrarán, very close to the boundary between Gipuzkoa and Bizkaia. Its 300 metres of length and 90 metres of width combine sand, cobbles and gravel in an isolated mountain setting, with vegetation both on the beach and on the dune. The Saturrarán rocks, with their unmistakable silhouette, shape the landscape, and the beach provides access to the adjoining beach. The waves are strong and windy. It can be reached on foot, by car or by boat via the GI-638, with parking for between 50 and 100 vehicles and basic services.
