What it is like

Ondar-Beltz, the alternative name of Playa de Ondarbeltz, occupies the left bank of the mouth of the Deba estuary, between the groyne and Punta de Arrilaban. Its 150 metres of length and 83 metres of width form a semi-urban beach of dark sand, with a mountain frontage, vegetation and moderate waves. Occupancy is low. Beside the beach there is a public leisure area, car park and fronton; access is easy on foot or by car via the GI-638, with fewer than 50 parking spaces and an interurban bus.
