Playa de Deba, also known as Santiago, occupies the stretch east of the mouth of the Deba estuary, between the groyne on the right bank and Punta de Aitzgorri. It is an urban beach of golden sand, 420 metres long and 65 metres wide, with a promenade and vegetation within the protected Deba-Zumaia biotope. It has moderate waves and wind. It is reached on foot or by car via the N-634, with more than 100 parking spaces, toilets, showers and a surf area.
