Beach at a glance
What it is like
Playa de Las Catedrales owes its identity to the caves and rock formations that make this white-sand beach a distinctive coastal landscape. The strip is 880 metres long and 50 metres wide, in an area of great ecological value declared a Natural Monument and also protected as a Special Area of Conservation (ZEC) and Biosphere Reserve. The upper promenade runs along wooden walkways. Although access is easy on foot, the large number of visitors makes it advisable to consider its more than 100 parking spaces and beach bus service.
