Beach at a glance
What it is like
Playa Bares changes shape according to the high tide: it is divided into two parts, one urban and port-related and the other known as Iglesia Vella. The latter contains an extensive dune area, itself separated by a raised, rocky promontory, within a semi-urban setting protected as a Site of Community Importance (SCI). The white-sand beach reaches 1,500 metres in length and 30 metres in width, with moderate swell and medium occupancy. It is reached on foot or by car, with adapted access, limited parking and shower, food-service and games facilities.
