Playa Areeiros, also known as Playa de Paredes, occupies the innermost part of the estuary and is notable for its low visitor numbers. It is a semi-urban beach of dark sand, very narrow—230 metres long and just 4 metres wide—with a promenade and vegetation in an area protected by Red Natura 2000. Its waters are calm. Access is on foot or by car via the N-554, with parking for fewer than 50 vehicles and showers available.
