Playa Ancha, also called Playa Chica, is an urban beach 300 metres long and 50 metres wide, composed of dark gravel. Its calm waters lie beside a promenade planted with tamarisks, a protected plant species, and an area of ornithological interest. The beach has high visitor numbers and anchorage. Access is easy on foot or by car, with more than 100 parking spaces and an interurban bus. Practical facilities include toilets, showers, restaurants, hire of sun loungers and parasols and nautical services.
