Playa de Pinela lies at the head of a ria, where low tides are particularly pronounced and the beach is barely used for bathing. It is a strip of dark sand 100 metres long and only 1 metre wide, in semi-urban surroundings with vegetation and calm waters. Access requires walking and is rated as difficult in the listing; there is signage and an interurban bus connection via the PO-308. Puerto Deportivo de Combarro is listed as the nautical reference.
