What it is like

W Curro is an isolated, little-visited beach with difficult access, measuring 52 metres in length and 10 metres in width. Its golden sand occupies a mountainous frontage with vegetation, protected by the Natura 2000 Network. Unlike As Maseiras, the usual waters are described as calm and occupancy is low. It is reached on foot from the AC-431, between Ponteceso and Laxe, with an intercity bus route 1 kilometre away; during the summer season it has lifeguard and first-aid services.
