Playa de Medote is an isolated cove 130 metres long and 25 metres wide, where golden sand and rock lie against a cliff landscape protected as a Special Protection Area (SPA) and a Site of Community Importance (SCI). The area is windy and has strong waves, although occupancy remains low; the listing describes it as a site accessed by car. It is reached from the Ponzos turn-off on the DP-3603, with parking for fewer than 50 spaces and an interurban bus stop 2 kilometres away. It shares parking and facilities with Playa de Ponzos, including toilets, showers, foot-washing facilities and cleaning.
