What it is like
Playa de Malaspina, also called Port de la Malaespina, occupies a tiny urban strip of Calella de Palafrugell surrounded by village houses beside the beach. Its 44 metres of length and 7 metres of width explain its very concentrated configuration, with golden sand, a seafront promenade formed by the coastal path and waters with moderate swell. The space is protected as a Historic Ensemble and permits anchoring. It is reached on foot or by car, and facilities include showers, food establishments, water-sports hire and accessibility for people with reduced mobility.
