What it is like
Playa de los Tranquilos, also known as Bao, is a small, isolated beach of golden sand beneath a cliff frontage. Its 200 metres in length and 30 metres in width offer calm waters and low occupancy, with a seafront promenade and vegetation within the ZEC de las Dunas del Puntal y el estuario del Miera. It is easily reached on foot, with fewer than 50 parking spaces and an interurban bus service. The beach has no facilities, although litter bins and cleaning are listed. It also has lifeguarding and first-aid services.
