What it is like
Playa de los Bikinis occupies a cove in Santander Bay and is reached by crossing the gardens of la Magdalena. Its fine golden sand covers 250 metres in length and 30 metres in width, in a semi-urban frontage with an urban character, calm waters and high occupancy. The name comes from its being the first beach in Santander where a bikini was seen, a fact forming part of its identity. Access is easy on foot and it has adapted bathing facilities, showers, toilets, a children's area and a food service.
