What it is like
Playa de los Barqueros, also called Puerto del Buen Jesús, occupies an isolated strip at the foot of a cliff. Its shore combines dark sand, rounded stones and rock across just 80 metres in length and 19 metres in width, within an area of Natural Habitats of Community interest. Strong waves are part of its coastal character and help explain why it is little frequented. It can be reached on foot or by car via the TF-445, with fewer than 50 parking spaces; land access is easy, although the landslide problems noted in the listing should be borne in mind.
