What it is like
Playa de las Salinas is an extensive, straight beach on the Mar Menor, 1,000 metres long and 40 metres wide. Its fine, dark sand continues beside a semi-urban frontage with a promenade and vegetation, while the waters are described as calm. Access is easy on foot, by car or by boat, with parking for between 50 and 100 vehicles and an urban bus service from the AP-7. It has toilets, foot showers, catering, nautical equipment hire, a yacht club, a sports area and a children's area.
