What it is like
Playa de la Hita is a 500-metre-long beach on the Mar Menor, barely 10 metres wide, integrated into a wetland protected as Paisaje Natural. Its golden sand and calm waters extend through an isolated setting with vegetation, a gentle slope and the possibility of anchorage. It can be reached on foot or by car from the AP-7; there is parking for fewer than 50 vehicles and an urban bus service. A campsite is nearby, the only item of equipment expressly identified for the setting in the listing.
