What it is like
Playa de las Llanas stands out for its isolation and tranquillity, within a cliff landscape included in a Special Protection Area for Birds (ZEPA) and a Site of Community Importance (SCI). It is an extensive beach, 500 metres long and 30 metres wide, with a varied composition of golden sand, rounded stones and gravel. Strong waves complete the open character of this stretch of coast. Access is on foot and difficult, via a long staircase; the N-632 is the reference road and Puerto de San Esteban the nearest marina.
