What it is like
Playa de las Cañas is an isolated beach in La Manga, adjoining Melicena and opening onto a wetland landscape. Its 300-metre length and 30-metre width consist of golden sand, with vegetation, low occupancy and moderate waves. The beach forms part of the protected natural area of Calblanque and the GR 92 runs through the surroundings. Access is easy on foot and also possible by car or boat; there is parking, an interurban bus, cleaning, litter bins, lifeguard services and first aid.
