What it is like
Cala de los Dentones is a very small, isolated cove, 50 metres long and 15 metres wide, formed by golden sand on a mountainous coast. The vegetation and its inclusion in the protected natural area of Calblanque, with ZEPA and Site of Community Importance (SCI) designations, create a low-occupancy setting. The key practical feature is access: the path involves a major change in elevation and arrival on foot is difficult, although it can also be reached by boat. The GR 92 passes nearby.
