What it is like
Playa del Rey, also known as Mareny de Barraquetes, is a beach of golden sand located within the Parque Natural de la Albufera. Its frontage measures 790 metres in length and 30 metres in width, in an urban stretch with restrictions and Red Natura 2000 protection. Vegetation and a seafront promenade accompany a beach with medium occupancy and moderate waves. It is easily reached on foot or by car from the CV-500, with parking for fewer than 50 vehicles and an interurban bus. Practical facilities include an adapted walkway, toilets, showers, food and drink facilities, a sports area and children’s play equipment.
