What it is like
Playa del Gorguel extends as an isolated mountain beach, 500 metres long and 110 metres wide. Its dark sand, vegetation and protected setting under Site of Community Importance (SCI) designation form a natural landscape with low occupancy, although the description itself notes the poor condition of the surrounding environment. The GR 92 runs nearby and anchoring is possible. It can be reached easily on foot, by car or by boat from the road between La Unión and Portman.
