Cala del Caballo is an isolated beach with low visitor numbers, formed by dark sand on a mountainous coastal frontage with vegetation. It is 100 metres long and 15 metres wide, with moderate waves. Access is via a path from the road between La Unión and Portmán, within the GR 92 route; the listing classifies it as easy on foot and also contemplates arrival by boat. The village of Portmán is 2 kilometres away and offers basic services.
