Playa de Area da Fame, also known as Polas, is an isolated white-sand beach in a rural area beside a cliff face. It measures 265 metres in length and 47 metres in width, although the listing states that this varies between 24 and 85 metres; vegetation and a promenade accompany a setting of moderate occupancy. Its waters have moderate waves. It is easily reached on foot from the coastal road, with parking in a field opposite the beach and services including showers, foot-washing facilities and cleaning.
