What it is like
Playa de Arealonga is a rustic beach of white sand extending for 850 metres in front of a cliff face. Its width ranges from 20 to 50 metres, with vegetation and protection as a Site of Community Importance (SCI); at one end there is a Celtic hillfort on the cliffs, and at the other, the cliffs of Mosteiro and Punta do Mógaro. Occupancy is low and the waves are moderate. It is easily reached on foot from the carretera de la Costa, with parking for fewer than 50 spaces, footbridges, showers, cleaning services and a surfing area.
