What it is like
Playa de A Meda is a small golden-sand beach on the narrow Rande strait. Its 90 metres of length and 10 metres of width form a compact urban strip, with a semi-urban coastal frontage and calm waters. Access is easy on foot or by car from the Chapela road, with parking for fewer than 50 vehicles and an interurban bus service between Pontevedra and Vigo 0.2 kilometres away. Showers, litter bins and cleaning service are available.
