What it is like

Characteristics published by official sources

Playa Mende, also called Praia da Rotea or Do Mendo, is a small beach 90 metres long and 20 metres wide, next to Teis marina. Golden sand occupies an isolated semi-urban frontage, with a promenade, vegetation and calm waters. Its small scale and immediate proximity to the marina are its main features. It is easily reached on foot or by car via the Chapela road, with fewer than 50 parking spaces, an urban bus service, litter bins, cleaning and adapted access.
